49172 Alpaca 4ply Sock

Something a little different for a sock yarn, this has nylon for strength and alpaca for softness and even more strength. The yarn takes the dye well, and colours appear slightly muted due to the alpaca content. Speckles can be achieved with effort. The resulting knitted fabric is soft with a gentle halo from the alpaca. Although designed for socks (for which we suggest using 2.5mm needles), this would also be fantastic for children’s clothing since it is both soft and hard wearing.
