Addi Colibri Double-Pointed Needles

Colourful as a hummingbird (colibri), these are probably the lightest double-pointed needles in the world. They are made from aluminium and are hollow on the inside. This makes them very light indeed and comfortable to knit with.

Each needle has a lace tip at one end and a basic tip at the other, so you can decide which end to use depending on your yarn. The lace tips are great for fine yarns, high twist yarns and for patterns where you work into multiple stitches, and the basic tips are ideals for more loosely spun yarns where you want to avoid splitting the yarn. You simply choose which end of the needle to knit with! If your knitting style involves pushing the needle tip with your finger, you may find the basic tip more comfortable to use.
