This is a shiny, super-robust cotton with a silky handle. The yarn takes the dye brilliantly. We recommend Procion MX, fibre-reactive or natural dyes for this yarn as it is a cellulose fibre. See notes on dyeing cellulose fibres. This yarn has a tight twist and knits up into a lovely fabric which is perfect for slightly heavier-weight garments and accessories. Cotton DK also crochets really well. We used a 3.5mm needle to keep the fabric in shape and this worked nicely.
