This is a toothy yarn with a fantastically tight twist. It is rustic in nature, and exceptionally strong. Being Highland wool, the natural colour can sometimes appear creamy. It takes the dye exceptionally well for a non-superwash and speckles can be achieved. The resulting knitted fabric has a crisp texture and excellent stitch definition. We have made a few sweaters from this yarn, and they look as good today as the day they were knitted. This would be suitable for socks on a tight gauge (2.5mm).
