Addi Novel Lace Circular Knitting Needles
The Addi Novel Lace circular needles are an ergonomic solution for anyone looking for a more comfortable knitting experience. The Novel tips have a square profile with rounded corners and a uniquely textured surface. This stimulates blood circulation and reduces tension, even when knitting for several hours. You get an effortless knitting experience, which relieves elbows and shoulders and gives a gentle massage to your hands.
The slightly ridged surface also ensures that even the most slippery stitches don't go flying off your needles.
They also feature our lace tips which have a long, pointed taper, making it easy to slide into stitches and particularly good for fine yarns. We have found that these needles make our stitches even more even than normal!
The raw material for our needle tips is brass. This is finished in many layers with a white bronze surface, which makes our Addi needles so extremely smooth. The flexible plastic cords, printed with the length and needle size, are ‘knotted’ to the needle tips in a special process, creating a very stable and seamless connection that lasts. A perfect connection.

Comparison between Unicorn and Novel tips
- While the square Novel needles have perfect ergonomics and are a good choice for aching hands, the Unicorn needles have a lighter, spiral structure.
- Compared to the Novel needle tips, the massage effect of Unicorns is somewhat softer.
- Both tips are great for looser knitters, as the textures slow stitches down and they are less likely to slip off the tips.
