49161 Pure Silk 4ply

The shiniest of yarns, this super-silky base is amazing. The yarn takes the dye really well. The base is bright white, and colours appear strong. This speckles well, and hand paints look exquisite as the colours merge almost magically. Please see our notes on dyeing silk. This yarn is slippery, so being extra gentle with movement helps keep the skeins neat during dyeing. Suitable for shawls, scarves, and lightweight spring and summer garments. This base works well paired with a strand of fluff.
