This is a tightly twisted yarn with a smooth, velvety feel. It is a robust yarn, thanks to the long staple length of the BFL. The yarn sucks up the dye, colours appear bright and clear, speckles work well and it is suitable for all dye methods. The fabric is neat and stitches are even. It blocks nicely and behaves more like a non-superwash which makes it a joy for sweaters. It works brilliantly for Fair Isle too, which is why we have 20g mini skeins available as well as our standard 100g skeins.
