Yak Singles 4ply is a wonderfully-soft, naturally-coloured base. The yak provides a warm undertone to dyeing. It takes the dye well, although speckles do not show up well. The resulting fabric has great stitch definition and a gentle halo from the yak. This yarn makes a beautiful open fabric and is particularly good for shawls. This would work as a weft, but we haven’t recommended it for a warp as heddle movement would cause wear. Our standard skeins for this yarn are 120g.
