Alpaca

These are all of our undyed yarns containing alpaca fibre. Our Alpaca comes from the Peruvian Andes. The mill works closely with farmers in order to produce the best quality alpaca in the world. Suri Alpacas are a long-haired variety, and Baby refers to the first shearing. We offer 6 different grades of alpaca: Imperial Alpaca (18 micron); Super Baby Alpaca (19.5 micron); Baby Alpaca (21.5/22.5 micron); Superfine Alpaca (25.5/26.5 micron); Baby Suri Alpaca (22.5 micron) and Suri Alpaca (26.5/27.5 micron). The lower the micron count, the softer the fibre. We also offer alpaca yarns that use a range of natural alpaca fleece colours such as cream, light grey and fawn.
