This eco sock yarn has two-fold qualities: firstly it uses easywash alpaca which is treated with enzymes to reduce shrinking, and secondly, instead of nylon, we have used linen as the strengthener. This blend has a caramel base colour which takes the dye nicely and colours appear slightly muted. Speckles will spread. The resulting fabric is soft with a gentle halo. We knitted the sock on 2.25mm, but for a tighter fabric you could go to 2mm needles. This yarn would be great for weaving.
