49197 Baby Silk Boucle

This is a velvety-soft boucle. The yarn takes the dye really nicely, colours appear softer, and speckles spread and look like watercolours on the resulting fabric. To maintain the look of the boucle curls, we used a 3.75mm needle and this created a gorgeous, drapey fabric with a velvety texture. This would work well for textured accessories, shawls and beautiful, flowy cardigans. Baby Silk Boucle would add interest to a weft, but probably isn’t strong enough for a warp.
