This 2ply, high-twist yarn is soft, bouncy in texture and robust. The yarn takes the dye really well. Colours appear slightly more muted than on Merino, but bright colours can be achieved and speckles work on this yarn. It is suitable for all dyeing styles. Although this yarn does not contain nylon, it would be suitable for socks if knitted on a tight gauge (2.25mm needles), since BFL has a long staple length and the high-twist construction adds strength.
