49041 Egyptian Lace 600

Linen adds a rustic quality, and warm cream colour, to the delightfully soft blend of baby alpaca and silk. With slightly less yardage than type 49040, this lace yarn knits almost to a 4ply tension. The yarn takes the dye nicely and colours are slightly muted with a watercolour effect. This yarn would make wonderful layering or summer garments, and thicker shawls. The fabric has a shine and is smooth with a little texture from the linen. This yarn would work well for weaving.
