49040 Egyptian Lace

Our Egyptian Lace yarns offer a delicious combination of alpaca, silk and linen fibres which combine strength and a soft handle. With more yardage than type 49041, this is a light, delicate lace yarn with a warm cream base colour. The yarn takes the dye nicely and colours are slightly muted with a watercolour effect. We prefer this yarn for lace shawl knitting over type 49041 since it blocks out stunningly, giving an open texture. This is the perfect yarn for a summer shawl.
