Addi Nature Olive Wood Circular Knitting Needles
These Addi Nature Olive Wood circular knitting needles are both beautiful and highly functional. The wooden tips feel warm in the hands, which is helpful if you sometimes experience hand pain, and the tapered tips are great for lace knitting. A warm feel and a sustainable natural material are luxury for the hands.
The tips are crafted from olive wood from trees that no longer bear fruit. These trees have a long history and are highly prized. The beautiful wood has a unique grain and is processed in many steps, partly by hand, at Addi in Germany to create fine and durable knitting needles.
The olive wood needle tips are finished with a natural, vegetable oil and organic wax. In the process, the wax is burnt in and this ensures a long-lasting surface that remains intact much longer than with a coating that is only applied superficially.
Thanks to the hardness of the olive wood, these needles have a fine, long, tapered tip which is comparable to our lace tips. These are perfect for working multiple stitches, and give precision results in lace patterns.
Made in Germany, of course!

Care of your olive wood knitting needles
With a little care, our high-quality olive wood circular knitting needles will become a lifelong companion.
When the surface feels dull and dry, oil the wood of your needles approx. once a year with olive or coconut oil. This keeps the wood nice and smooth and also makes it resistant to dirt and moisture. Simply rub in with a soft cotton cloth.
If the tips of your olive wood needles have started to snag on your yarn, just sharpen the tips again by sanding the tip with fine sandpaper, then oil them and they will be almost as good as new.
