Addi Sock Double-Pointed Needles

The all-time favourite double-pointed needle for sock knitters and more... These needles have been part of the Addi range since the early 20th Century. These needles have a smooth, pearl grey anodised aluminium surface and come in a choice of five different lengths. Starting at 10cm and 15cm which are perfect for knitting the fingers of gloves and other tiny-circumferences, moving through 20-23cm which are great for sock knitting, mittens, sleeves and cuffs, and finishing with the extra-long 40cm double-pointed needles which are fantastic for use with a knitting belt and for working sweaters and other larger circumferences in the round. 

The heart of these needles are the 20-23cm sets. These are versatile for all sorts of projects. They are available in 20cm for needle sizes up to 5mm, with the slightly longer 23cm length for sizes from 5.5mm upwards. This gives some extra length and means that bulkier yarns can be knitted more comfortably, without having to bunch your stitches up too much.

All needles have our classic, basic tip which is blunt and avoids splitting of stitches, even with more loosely-spun yarns. These are fantastic for beginner knitters, and also for those who knit more loosely. If you are a tight knitter, be sure to look at the Addi double-pointed needles that have lace tips.
