This plump yarn base has three ends twisted together – one superwash and two non-superwash. Superwash takes the dye more strongly, giving a barber pole effect. The stronger the dye colour and the longer it’s dyed for, the less you see the effect, so do experiment to ensure it is as prominent as you would like it. If dyed for long enough the difference in colour may not be visible. The knitted fabric has even stitch definition. This would be suitable for socks on a tight gauge (2.25mm needles).
