Upcycled Merino is Merino fibre that has been re-blended from multiple spin runs at the mill. It is collected together, re-combed and made into a yarn. Upcycled nylon is created in the same manner. These fibres would otherwise be wasted. Compared to standard Platinum Sock, the upcycled yarn is sometimes slightly more creamy in colour. Its texture is a little more velvety, and when dyed, colours can be a tiny bit more muted. This yarn speckles well and makes a wonderful, soft fabric.
