49117 Velvet 4ply

This is a softly twisted yarn with a little cotton which adds a wonderful, velvety texture to the yarn. The yarn has a characteristic twist and looks beautiful in the skein. Velvet 4ply takes the dye really well, it speckles nicely and colours are bright and clear. We used a 3.25mm needle and got a fabric which was light, open and delightfully drapey. It blocks out quite a bit, therefore, a smaller needle would also work well to give more body. This would make gorgeous, summer garments and accessories.
