This toothy, Highland wool base is pre-dyed with grey to black segments running through it to add interest. The yarn takes the dye well, with colours appearing most strongly on the lighter yarn sections, and speckles will spread. The yarn makes a lovely fabric which keeps its shape really well when knitted. It would make glorious woven projects.
