Alpaca

Our Alpaca comes from the Peruvian Andes. The mill works closely with farmers in order to produce the best quality alpaca in the world. Suri Alpacas are a long-haired variety, and Baby refers to the first shearing. We offer 6 different grades of alpaca: Imperial Alpaca (18 micron); Super Baby Alpaca (19.5 micron); Baby Alpaca (21.5/22.5 micron); Superfine Alpaca (25.5/26.5 micron); Baby Suri Alpaca (22.5 micron) and Suri Alpaca (26.5/27.5 micron). The lower the micron count, the softer the fibre. We also offer alpaca yarns that use a range of natural alpaca fleece colours such as cream, light grey and fawn.
